So we’re breaking the simulation. Welcome to Besties, your new community event! 

Whether you’re showing up solo or rolling in deep with your crew, we're making a place where you can find your peoples.

Besides having amazing local queer DJs and a fun dance floor, we offer games like pool and skeeball, cute cozy dark corners and large social tables at the iconic east van pub, The American. With an amazing sound system, DJ booth, epic new food menu and late night happy hour drink specials, there’s definitely something for everyone at Besties. 

THE FIRST HOUR (9 PM - 10 PM) 

Come early for the connection, stay late for the dance floor. We're diving straight into breaking the ice the moment the doors open:

• Random doubles pool tournie: Put your name on a list, get paired up, make a new bestie
• Friend Speed Dating: 5 minutes, rapid-fire, skipping the small talk entirely.
• The Sticky-Note Wall: Slap an anonymous confession, a hot take, or your IG handle onto the wall in the dark corner. We’re collecting them all to post on our Instagram stories the next day for the ultimate Sunday morning debrief.
• Open Decks: Bring your USB or controller. Show us what you're spinning before the residents take over. (There will be x2 - 30 min sets avail, Send us a DM to apply)

Expect to hear mashups, remixes and hyperpop anthems of all your favourite sapphic and queer adjacent artists, we're also going to throw in your fav singalongs and a few slow jams!

This is a dedicated, unapologetic space for the SAPPHIC, WLW, FLINTA community. If you’ve been feeling isolated in this city, this is your invitation to stop scrolling and just show up.

• When: Doors at 9 PM. (Don't be late, the first hour is where the magic happens).

• Cover: $12 Early bird / $15 after / Tickets also avail at the door!
