About
Island Comedy Jam brings the sunshine indoors this September as one of Toronto's freshest comedy-and-music experiences lands at the iconic El Mocambo on Spadina. It's a full night out: a headline stand-up show followed by a late-night island party, all in one unforgettable room.
Barbados' own Nico Yearwood "The Bajan Comedian" headlines his Canadian debut, joined by Marlon Palmer "The Oxtail God," James Roque "The Kiwi-Pinoy Comedy Boy," and Norman "Big Norm" Alconcel, with hosts Quamina Just Sayin and Bajan Salt Bread Soldier keeping the energy high all night.
When the laughs wrap, the after-party takes over — headlined by Red Bull "Turn It Up" Champion DJ Manalang, with Flexx Got Next, Natural Wav, Jay Raww, and Jamezz spinning soca, dancehall, Afrobeats and more until 2 AM.
Whether you're a local looking for a different kind of night out or a visitor chasing Toronto's vibrant Caribbean culture, Island Comedy Jam is a one-of-a-kind celebration of island humour, music, and community. Laugh first, party after.
