Everything you need to know about selling tickets with Bloom — pricing, payouts, customization, check-in, and beyond.
Bloom charges a flat $0.75 CAD per ticket. On top of that, Stripe's standard card processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 CAD applies. There are no monthly fees, no setup fees, and no hidden charges.
Free events are completely free — Bloom charges nothing on $0 tickets.
Eventbrite typically charges $1.29 + 3.5% of the ticket price as a service fee, plus 2.9% card processing. On a $50 ticket, that's roughly $4.24 in fees.
With Bloom on a $50 ticket, you'd pay $0.75 + $1.75 (2.9% + $0.30) = ~$2.50 — nearly half the cost.
No. Bloom is pay-as-you-sell. You only pay when a ticket is purchased. There are no monthly plans, no seat limits, and no contracts.
Yes! Registered non-profit organizations are eligible for a 20% rebate on Bloom's ticketing fees. Contact us with your organization details to get this applied to your account.
Yes. When setting up your event you can choose whether fees are absorbed by you (the organizer) or passed on to attendees at checkout. Buyers will see a clear breakdown before completing their purchase.

Yes. You can add custom checkout questions to your event — such as dietary preferences, T-shirt sizes, accessibility needs, or anything else you need from attendees. Responses are available in your guest list export.
Yes. You can enable "names each" mode so buyers must enter a name for every ticket in their order — ideal for galas, seated events, or any event where individual attendee names matter for check-in.
Or you can collect just one name for the entire order — your choice.
Yes. Events can be set to unlisted, meaning they won't appear on any public host profile or search — only people with the direct link can access and purchase tickets. Perfect for private events, invite-only launches, or beta sales.
You can issue full or partial refunds directly from your Bloom dashboard. You can also send a bulk email update to all ticket holders from the Email Marketing tool. If you need to issue mass refunds, contact our support team and we'll help.
Absolutely. Bloom supports up to 15 pricing tiers per event — each with its own name, price, capacity, description, sale window, and visibility rules. Common examples: Early Bird, General Admission, VIP, Student, Group, Table, etc.
With PWYC mode, buyers choose their own price at checkout (between a range you set as the host). Great for community events, fundraisers, or sliding-scale pricing. Bloom handles the variable amount automatically.
Each tier can have an end date or a capacity limit. When a tier sells out or expires, the next tier automatically becomes available to buyers — with no manual intervention needed. You can also set a tier to only show after the previous one closes.
Yes. Each tier has a configurable max tickets per order setting to prevent bulk buying or scalping.
Yes. Immediately after purchase, each buyer receives a confirmation email with their QR-code ticket(s). The email also includes event details. Tickets are ready for mobile or print.
Payouts go directly to your connected bank account via Stripe on Stripe's standard schedule (typically 2–7 business days depending on your country and bank). You don't wait until after the event — funds flow as tickets are sold.
Bloom's checkout is powered by Stripe, which accepts:
You can issue full or partial refunds directly from your Bloom dashboard on a per-order basis. Refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear on the buyer's card within 5–10 business days.
Yes. You can create unlimited promo codes with:
Buyers enter the code at checkout and the discount is applied instantly.
Volume discounts automatically reward buyers who purchase multiple tickets in one order. You set the rules — for example:
Discounts can be percentage-based or a fixed dollar amount per ticket, and can apply to all tiers or specific tiers. Buyers see the available discounts on your event page before purchasing.
Yes. Bloom supports tracking links — unique URLs you can give to promoters, influencers, or partners. Every ticket sale from that link is tracked separately, so you know exactly which promoter drove which sales.
Bloom includes a built-in mobile check-in app. At the door, you can:
Each ticket's QR code is unique and single-use to prevent fraud.
Yes. Multiple devices can access the check-in app at the same time — the guest list updates in real time across all sessions, so you never accidentally check in the same person twice.
No problem. You can search for the attendee by name in the check-in app and manually mark them as checked in. You can also view the full guest list and look up any order.
Yes. Export your full guest list as a CSV from the dashboard at any time. The export includes buyer names, emails, ticket tier, check-in status, and any custom question responses you collected.
Your Bloom dashboard includes a full analytics suite:
Yes, via tracking links. Create a unique link per channel (e.g. Instagram, email newsletter, Facebook ad) and Bloom tracks how many tickets were sold through each source.
No — location tracking is an opt-in feature per event. You enable it in your event's Advanced Options. When enabled, Bloom resolves the approximate city/region from the buyer's billing address at purchase time. No GPS or device location is used.
Yes — that's one of Bloom's core principles. You can add:
Bloom's logo does not appear on your event page. Your brand is always front and centre.
Yes. Every Bloom host gets a public profile page (bloomtickets.ca/hostinfo/[your-id]) that lists all your upcoming and past events. Share it on social media or your website so fans can easily find and follow all your events in one place.
Add-ons let you sell extras alongside tickets in the same checkout flow — no second transaction needed. Examples include:
Yes. Each add-on has an optional total stock limit and a max per order setting. When stock runs out, the add-on is automatically hidden or shown as sold out.
Yes. The buyer's confirmation email and receipt include a full itemized breakdown of their order, including all add-ons purchased.
Yes. You can configure Canadian federal (GST/HST) and provincial tax rates for your event. Bloom automatically calculates and displays the tax at checkout, and the tax is included in your payout. Tax amounts are shown on receipts and available in your transaction reports.
It is your responsibility to register for the appropriate tax numbers with the CRA and remit taxes collected. Bloom provides the tooling to collect and report — not to remit on your behalf.
Yes. Every buyer receives an itemized receipt showing the ticket subtotal, applicable taxes (labelled by type), platform fee, and grand total.

No. Buying a ticket requires only your name and email address — no account, no password, no app download needed.
Tickets are emailed to you immediately after purchase as a PDF attachment with a unique QR code. You can show the QR code directly from your phone or print it out.
If you don't see your ticket within a few minutes, check your spam/junk folder.
Refund policies are set by the event organizer. If you need a refund, contact the organizer directly (their contact information is on the event page). If you can't reach them, contact Bloom support and we'll help mediate.
Yes. All payments are processed by Stripe, one of the world's most trusted payment platforms. Bloom never stores your card details — they go directly to Stripe's PCI-compliant servers.
Ticket transferability depends on the event organizer's policy. If the event allows transfers, you can simply forward your ticket PDF to the new attendee — the QR code will work for whoever presents it at the door. Some events require name-matched tickets; check the event page for details.
